Overall Ah, memories! My first smoking piece ever! Just recently gave it away to a friend, a newbie smoker. This is a perfect piece for a newb, the mouth is nice and big and it sits nice and flat. Bowl unscrews for cleaning and holds a fair amount of bud, although nothing too outrageous. If you're looking to get nice and toasty really fast, this is the piece for you. Doesn't look like a traditional "bong" and it was a hit w/friends due to its unique-ness; i actually had a friend thing it was a vase!
Downside, and i don't know if anyone else experiences this but after a while (several years, i mean) the smoke started to taste funny, so much so that i couldn't smoke out of it anymore (which is why i gave it away.) I cleaned it several times, soap and water and 420 cleaner and the first session tasted fine but after that the bad taste came back. I never keep water in it for more than a day or two and usually drain it after each session.
Another draw back: it gets clogged pretty easily and you'll need to take the bowl off, push out the screen w/ a pen (or something) to get the screen fully clear. Have to do that every few sessions.
Recommend, great for newbs; just reviewing is bringing back great memories!(Posted on 10/31/09)
