This is one amazing piece of glass, the best bubbler I've ever seen. I don't really like cone bowls, so I use the one that came with my best bong (genius to let us use our preferred bowls). The six perc arms are closed, they look open when you view them from the bottom but they are fused to the bottom glass. Sure, this adds some drag, but that's really the point: to diffuse the smoke. Really easy to clean, I simply put it in the bathroom sink and trickle a hot water stream into it for ten minutes. Looks like new every time. The glass is thick everywhere except near the glass joint, and that is exactly where my stupid ass dropped a coffee cup on it yesterday!!! I can't live without it, so I ordered the LAST ONE, so now they are out of stock. Muuuhahahhaha!!!

It was a bit heavy for the bong, but it fits perfectly and disconnecting it after each use isn't an issue. This thing hits incredibly smooth. The smoothest I've ever had (which isn't that impressive as I just started smoking and haven't had a lot of experience). I must say, though, that I was shocked at how well this worked. If you are looking for a pre-cooler or something to replace an ash catcher, I absolutely recommend this. I can't praise it enough. It's not difficult to clean, at least for me. I just used 91% rubbing alcohol and some sea salt. I shook it around a bit and all the residue came right out after 20-30 seconds of shaking.

I will be modifying the Black Leaf bong to be able to hold this without tipping (epoxy with some type of metal or plastic for the base. I like little projects like that.

Just got this big guy in today, and man is it worth it! The arms on mine are all even and the whole piece looks great. It adds so much diffusion and makes every hit so much smoother. I recommend getting this for any bong you have, because at around 45 shipped, you wont find anything better

This thing is nice. Sturdy and solid construction. It come's with a removable "Cone" bowl from black leaf. The six arms on the perc are not all even, although close. Also, It clearly looks like the tree ends are sealed off in the picture, they are open! This makes for less drag, but also less diffusion(open 6 arm > closed 3 arm) the thing is ALMOST too big for a 14' bong, but it fits fine. It does have a removable bowl, you can put any bowl you want. An external perc with a fixed bowl is useless... Why are carbs so popular in Europe?? No one I know likes them.Mine isn't perfectly airtight in a 14.4 socket, it wiggles some. The performance is excellent and it diffuses very well, not much water stays in it for long while your smoking.

It took this marvelous piece a hot minute to get here, but it was more than worth the wait. I bought it during the cyber Monday sale and that made it extremely cheap. This thing milks like a beast, clears super easy, and looks amazing. Get. This. Glass.
and keep it very, very clean.

i just received this today and boy is it nice and I also go a bowl for it since I didn't want a clear 1 so now my bong looks extra nice and hits like a monster :D

I haven't seen this specified in the description or any other review so I will say that this piece does in fact have A REMOVABLE BOWL. Yes, this means you can in fact put any custom 14.5 bowl you have into this ashcatcher, and it can also be used without a bong to make a very nice bubbler. At only 45 shipped, this is a great value you cant pass up. Only weak point is the cleaning, but if you know what you're doing it shouldn't be anything too complicated.

Great precooler, very large; the hits are smooth and dense. Not easy to clean though

First off, this thing is massive.
Secondly, If you buy a WeedStar mouth piece connection, you could have your very own state-of-the-art bubbler!

Thirdly, they call it the "octopus" but it only has 6 diffuser stems, not 8.

Cleaning is going to be a relative pain in the buttocks, but shouldn't be too difficult with the correct supplies.

You want to be careful, if your bong is too light, this will definitely cause it to tip (though you can just deattach it for safety reasons)

It fills up nice and smoothly, and it doesn't add too much drag on the hits.

Overall, I would say this is a must-have for almost any bong you own!! You would be insane (or very conservative about money) to not buy this add-on for your bong. Your bong will love it, your friends will love it, and you'll love it as well.
