Like Grav Labs' stemless pipes, The Phoenix stemless ash catcher is made in the USA using laboratory-grade clear borosilicate glass and features forced percolation with clean lines and not a lot of bulk. No downstem is needed, and this pieces comes with an 18.8mm funnel bowl. The glass-on-glass lid allow you to pop some ice into the chamber, which is designed to get dirty and keep your pipe clean! A color Grav Labs decal applied on the tube in black, blue, red, green, orange, or etched, as available. Choose 14.5mm or 18.mm joint size when ordering. The 90 degree joint on this piece is ideal for stemless pipes.

Overall Got the 18.8 style & it's a beauty, it's a monster of an ashcatcher with yes, enough space for plenty of ice, snow, or just the right amount of cool water. When added to a big ripper it's kinda cool to be able to use the main cap as a carb & get a jet-like inhale. I own the Grav-Labs J-hook & those 2 are a match made in heaven, they rest perfectly level during mid-use. The bowl is freaking huge-like 4g's huge, a glass screen of some kind is a must when using it. & lastly, is a great cooler after adding a concentrate adaptor . This thing can do it all!!

Overall you may be skeptical about an ashcatcher with no perc, but what you need to understand is it's simply not an ashcatcher; its an ice-shcatcher. use this with a stemless piece, god luck and good speed, because it'll be a wonderful smoking experience. add in gspot's made to order glass diffusor rings, and you wont believe what's going on. my rig is all american glass except for those wonderful german buddies, and along with this unbelievable ice-shcatcher... you aren't even ready.(Posted on 4/7/13)
