Glass Hammer Bubbler Handpipe - Silver and Gold Fume - Colored Glass and Magnifiers
The hammer bubbler is a stylish way to enjoy waterpipe percolation in a smaller, more portable handpipe. This piece from American Glass Works is a truly a work of art, with its swirling silver and gold fuming, colored glass and a long, slender, worked tentacle snaking up the side of the bowl. Clear glass marbles and magnifiers also decorate the bowl. The stem features elegant curves and bulges, or "marias" in glassblower's speak. The deep chamber holds water to diffuse and cool smoke as it travels through to the mouthpiece. The hammer's bottom is flat, enabling you to rest the pipe safely on your coffee table.
Because each pipe is individually handblown by glass artists in an Oregon collective, the pipe you receive will be one-of-a-kind. The colors may vary from what you see in the photo, but the overall design will be the same. Fumed glass changes color over time with heat and buildup, so your pipe's look will evolve as you use it. Thorough cleaning will return it to its original hues, so you can watch it slowly change all over again! This photo was taken after some use so you can see how the colors on your glass bubbler might develop.

Overall the piece is beautiful,its not the same color as in the picture but its PHAT!! its more like a turquoise,the carb is purple and it doesnt have that stone instead it has a longer snakes and some dots on the front. i thought the bowl would of been bigger but it hits like a beauty and the colors are beautifully combined.definetely will buy again.thanx guys(Posted on 4/8/05)

Overall Even though the bubbler that came was not quite the same as the one in the picture, I'm very impressed with the piece that I got. Obviously all this glass is made with care, because the pipe I received was expertly crafted. The shape of the pipe was the same, with gorgeous rainbow fuming covering the entirity of the the pipe, but there is no big marble on the front. Instead, there is a green glass rope resembling a wave that's expertly connected to the bub via 5 clear bridges, and where the rope comes out of the bubbler. There are 3 turquoise dots on the front that look like bubbles coming up from the waves. Overall the whole piece resembles a storm, so I named it Typhoon. I love this pipe!(Posted on 11/22/03)
