This 18.8mm Weed Star Carbon Adapter is suitable for both loose activated carbon stones as well as customary filter cartridges. Activated carbon filters out many toxins and carcinogens and protects the main bong chamber from unwanted dirt, ash and residue from the bowl. Improve your smoke's flavor and keep your bong clean and healthy! Weed Star's black WS logo is featured on the piece, with a colored glass bead rollstopper decorating the side of the carbon chamber to help prevent it from rolling away and smashing.

Overall The smoke is significantly filtered and the carbon eliminates a wide variety of carcinogenic hydrocarbons that are emitted as toxic byproducts of combustion. Overall You really can see the difference the carbon makes in your piece!! Make sure you buy a couple of the glass seamines to go with it, and you can just buy a big jar of the actual carbon at Walmart and you'll have more than you could ever use. Its really cool to see all the tar and gunk before the carbon and then after it gets filtered through all of that crap has been pulled out and the glass behind the carbon stays nice and clean!(Posted on 7/2/10)

Overall This is a nice cheap addition and I only bought it because I was curious about it and wanted to try it out, .... it WORKS good ! I tried my pipe with and without it and I can tell you (depending on were it is on your set up) I can feel the difference it's less harsh to smoke with this on my pipe !
all in all. YES this does serve a purpose and does work like it should.
as far as how it's made ?!?! it's not made the same as other WS items it looks and feels like it's made by a machine and doesn't fit exactly into my pipe (it is close, and seals) but the angle of the joints when it was cut is off a little so I do get some movement.(Posted on 6/14/10)
