The 18.8mm ground joint houses a slitted inside-cut 18.8mm > 14.5mm diffuser downstem. The slits break up the smoke into smaller particles, increasing the surface area, which allows the smoke to cool much more rapidly.

But that is not all, as it travels upwards the smoke encounters the showerhead dome percolator for another round of filtration. The multitudes of slits break up the smoke into an incredible amount of bubbles, cooling it down significantly, whilst perfectly preserving the flavor of your herbs. A slitted splash guard prevents bong water from splashing up into your mouth.
