The smoke is pulled through the slits of the diffused downstem before it bubbles and breaks on the water surface and continues its journey into the bongs top chamber that houses the 8-arm slitted tree percolator. The tree percolator adds further diffusion and filtration to the smoke before it moves up the bongs straight tube. Finally, a few well placed ice cubes in the bongs tube cools the smoke before it exits the mouthpiece.
