Chad Zindroski was a struggling student and artist who in 2003 had a vision and decided to provide high quality, hand crafted, American made glass smoking products to people at affordable prices. Inspired by old borosilicate glass tubes in his garden shed and unhappy with the current available options on the market, Chad decided to revolutionise glass design and functionality by inventing the first scientific hammer and in 2003 Purr smoking company began.

From 2003 – 2011, Purr was focused on creating a range of herb, concentrate and accessory products for customers in their home state of California and surrounding states. Since 2011, Purr have expanded their vision and have been focused on creating additional scientific glass designs such as the upright sherlock double chamber and the “Pocket”, or micro, piece for smokers all around the world.
