Bong Parts for Sale | Bowls, Downstems & Adapters | Grasscity – Page 5

How Do You Choose the Right Bong Part?

Match the joint first, then choose the part. Check the joint size and gender, then choose by function: a glass bowl or slide for loading, a glass downstem for filtration, an ash catcher for cleaner water. Keep a spare bowl, since they are the piece that breaks most often.

How Do You Use a Bong Part?

Take your time and match each joint.

Rinse the old part with warm water and let it dry.
Note the joint size and gender stamped on the old piece.
Seat the new part gently and give it a small twist for a snug fit.
Fill the bong and test for leaks.
Rinse parts after every few sessions.

Features of Our Bong Parts

Every bong eventually needs a part, and the sooner you know your measurements, the easier the fix. Start with joint size and gender: a bong bowl and a bong downstem must match your piece, usually in 10mm, 14mm or 18mm. GC's own parts lead the shelf, Pulsar adds recycler ash catchers, and Cipher offers adapters for mixing gear. A diffused downstem gives gentler bubbling, and an ash catcher keeps the main chamber cleaner. Each listing names size, gender and material. For the whole range of bowls, see our glass bowls.

Why Shop Bong Parts at Grasscity?

GC's own bowls and downstems lead the shelf, with Pulsar recycler ash catchers, Cipher adapters, Famous Design and LA Pipes pieces and Milkyway parts filling in the rest. Joint size and gender are listed, which is what you check before you click.

A good bong lasts for years, and the right replacement part keeps it that way. Bong parts cover the pieces that wear out or need swapping, from bowls and downstems to slides, adapters, ash catchers and screens. Browse more in our Glass Bongs collection.

Frequently Asked Questions

What counts as a bong part?

A bong part is anything that attaches to or lives inside the bong: a bowl or slide, a downstem, an adapter, an ash catcher, screens and the small pieces that keep it running. Replacing a single part is usually easier than replacing the whole bong, which is why spares are worth keeping.

How do I know which size to buy?

Check the joint size and gender on your bong, usually 10mm, 14mm or 18mm, and match the male and female sides. The joint size is often stamped on the glass or listed with the original piece. A bowl or stem with the wrong size will not seat securely.

Which downstem should I get?

Match the downstem length to your base so the opening sits just below the waterline, and pick a diffused stem if you want gentler, smoother bubbling. Check the joint size and the length before you order, since a stem that is too long will touch the bottom and one that is too short will not bubble.

What is the difference between a bowl and a slide?

A slide is a bowl piece you push into the joint and pull out to clear the chamber. A bowl is the same idea in a separate or fixed design that stays in place. Both come in 10mm, 14mm and 18mm, so match the size to your bong.

What is an ash catcher and do I need one?

An ash catcher is an attachment that sits between the bowl and the bong, catching ash and cooling the smoke before it reaches the water. It keeps the bong cleaner for longer. You do not need one, but many people add one to cut down on cleaning and to get a smoother pull.

How do I clean parts?

To clean bong parts, soak glass pieces in isopropyl alcohol and coarse salt, shake gently, rinse with warm water and let them dry. Our iso and salt cleaners cover brushes and soak bags that reach narrow openings. Small parts like bowls and stems usually need only a short soak.

Which brands make bong parts?

Grasscity's own line, Pulsar and Cipher appear in this collection. Check the size, the gender and the material on each listing, because a part only works if it fits your bong. Bowls, downstems and ash catchers each have their own size details in the title. When in doubt, compare the joint size to your original piece. For more, see our guide: Bong Bowl Sizes Guide.
