What is a Steamroller Pipe?

A steamroller pipe is designed to deliver a powerful hit and derives its name from its resemblance to the exhaust pipes on a steamroller locomotive.

It is a dry hand pipe that has a simple, cylindrical design, with a carb at the end of the pipe, as opposed to the side of the bowl like many traditional pipes. The position of the carb allows air to travel easily through the pipe, delivering a bigger hit with very little effort.

Steamrollers are not entirely suitable for beginners, and it may be a good idea to use one with an experienced smoker first, before committing to a purchase. This pipe delivers a powerful smoke, so it may be sensible to work your way up to using one and start with a few traditional pipes.
