How to choose the right bong

Start with the shape. A beaker base bong is stable, easy to clean, and the right first choice for most smokers. If smoothness matters most, step up to a percolator bong or an ice bong. Small space or travel? A mini bong does the job. And if you want the piece your grandkids argue over, that's what RooR is for.

Every bong here ships free over $50, discreetly, with the lowest price guaranteed.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a bong and how does it work?

A bong, also called a water pipe, uses water to filter and cool smoke before inhalation. This creates smoother hits compared to dry pipes or joints.

What size bong is best for beginners?

A medium-sized bong (around 12–16 inches) offers a balance of smoothness and ease of handling, making it ideal for new users.

How often should I clean my bong?

Change the water after each use to keep hits fresh, and deep-clean weekly with isopropyl alcohol and coarse salt if used regularly.

Are bongs and water pipes the same thing?

Yes, the terms are often used interchangeably. Both describe devices that use water to filter smoke.

What materials are bongs made from?

The most common material is borosilicate glass, valued for durability and heat resistance. Acrylic, silicone, and ceramic bongs are also available for different preferences.

Do bongs deliver smoother hits than other smoking methods?

Yes. The water filtration cools and diffuses smoke, reducing harshness compared to dry pipes or joints.

What is the difference between a bong & a water pipe?

Essentially bongs and water pipes are very similar devices for smoking. They both feature a water chamber for filtration and cooling your smoke. The main difference lies in their appearance.

With a bong, you inhale the smoke through the top of the bong tube. Water pipes, on the other hand, incorporate a straw or a pipe in their design that protrudes at an angle through the side of the device.

What is the difference between a bubbler & a bong?

The main difference is size. Bubblers tend to be smaller, use less water and provide less diffusion. To find out more about the differences, visit our bubbler vs bong blog.

What is the difference between a bong and a dab rig?

Dab rigs are designed for use with dab waxes and concentrate whereas bongs are designed for the purpose of burning dry herbs. Dab rigs also include a banger or quartz nail and vapor dome to vaporize your concentrated material, whereas bongs use combustion to ignite and burn your herbs in a glass bowl.
