What is a Carb Cap?
A carb cap is an accessory that attaches to a dab rig to help to control airflow and deliver low-temperature dabs. Carb, refers to the word carburetor, regulating the air within the rig, just like a car engine. These caps can come in a wide range of designs, materials, and styles but they all serve the same purpose.
The cap is placed over the dab nail or banger so it is completely covered, trapping the heat that is generated when burning the THC concentrate. The trapped heat means the concentrate takes longer to cool and ensures that it is thoroughly burned.
They are made from the same materials as a dab nail or dab banger, commonly ceramic, titanium, and glass. Although higher-quality carb caps are made from Quartz. Silicone and metal caps are also available.
Carb caps can also be used in conjunction with a joint insert or adapter, add a banger to convert a regular bong, water pipe, or bubbler into a top-performing dab rig.
Why would you use a Carb Cap?

They feature an angled tube in the middle of the cap that uses directional airflow for more effective vaporization.Directional carb caps can also be used in conjunction with terp pearls. The controlled airflow causes the terp pearls to spin in the banger and help with the vaporization process.
- Bubble CapThe bubble cap works best with a flat top banger. It has a bulbous body with a straw on the bottom and at the top that you can swirl around the banger to push the heated concentrate around with ease.
