Mascotte is easily one of the biggest names in rolling papers worldwide, and they’ve held that title since being founded as a cigar and cigarette factory in 1858. They’re based in Eindhoven, The Netherlands and are the largest Dutch producer on the market. The history of Mascotte runs long and deep, and quality has been at the center of it all since the very beginning.

Their transition from producing cigars and cigarettes to a refined focus on rolling papers came in the middle of the 20 century. By the end of the Second World War, rolling papers were in high demand but the population was facing a restricted supply. The answer came from Frank Mignot, founder of Mascotte and Mignot & De Block. He discovered that Bibles produced in a publishing house in Limburg contained paper that was perfect for rolling cigarettes. Soon thereafter, Mascotte turned its focus to the ultra-thin rolling papers they have become famous for today.
