Percolator Bongs: Showerhead, Honeycomb & Matrix Percs

Percolator bongs use an extra glass chamber to diffuse and cool smoke through water, giving you a smoother, cleaner, and less harsh hit every time. That extra diffusion step is what separates a perc bong from a standard bong, more surface contact with water means more filtration before the smoke ever reaches you.

As smoke passes through the percolator, it's broken into smaller bubbles that travel through water before reaching the mouthpiece. More bubbles mean more surface area, which cools the smoke further and filters out some of the harshness you'd get from a straight tube with no percolation at all.

Same as any other water pipe: add water until it covers the percolator, pack your bowl, then light and inhale. The percolator does its work automatically as you pull, no extra steps needed on your end beyond making sure the water level is right before you start.

It depends what you're after. Percolator bongs generally deliver smoother, cooler hits thanks to the added filtration, but they also mean more surface area to clean and, often, a higher price point. A standard bong is simpler to maintain; a perc bong trades that simplicity for a noticeably smoother pull.
