How much water do you put in a mini dab rig?

Generally, you should add just enough water to cover the grooves/ slits at the bottom of your mini dab rig’s downstem. The downstem is the part of the bong that goes down into the water chamber, where the bowl is placed.

Is it better to dab with or without water?
